Ways to Save During the Recession

I hate the recession.  I’m seriously going broke trying to save some money.  Just so I’m not alone, here are some savings for you:

1.  Oh, how I love these jeans, but the popular washes never go on sale.  That is unless you have a coupon for the friends and family discount.  If you do, then you too can save 40% on all non-sale items.  Effective November 12 – 15, 2009.

2.  30% in store coupon for Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, or Piperlime.  Valid November 12 -15.  (Note that the code for on-line orders is not provided.)

3.  Our favorite children’s brand, Tea, is having their sample sale this Saturday, November 14, 2009 in San Francisco.  It’s seriously some good savings.  So good, in fact, that I plan my weekend around this sale.  Yep, it’s that good.

4.  Because I am very clumsy, I’m constantly searching for cute and fashionable flats.   Recently, a friend turned me onto Payless as her source for comfortable and cute flats.  I’ve been eying these shoes from the fierce Christian Siriano.  Although I missed the 50% off coupon when he was on Oprah, I can still get a small 15% discount with this coupon, good until November 27, 2009.   By the way, did I mention that the shoes are only $29.99?!  Fierce!!

5.  If shoes and clothing aren’t your thing and you’re in our area on Saturday, December 5, 2009, then check out the studio sale at one of my favorite letterpress stationary stores.   Get there early and you will definitely catch me there!

Love the flats. It’s getting to be time to start shopping for Christmas. This is a rather scary thought that I’m trying to push aside for as long as I can.

Hmmm… wouldn’t you save more money in the long run by skipping the sample sales and going to Target? LOL

Although cool. Had no idea Christian had a line at Payless. FIERCE!

Love the shoes! THEY look like a good reason to splurge for a new outfit!

I’m hopeless! Good thing I don’t have much time to shop for myself.
